Experience the natural beauty of the crystal-clear, refreshing waters at Khoun Nam Don
Khoun Nam Don is located in Na Village, Thakhek District, Khammouane Province, a naturally fertile area surrounded by limestone karst mountains. It can be accessed via two main routes:
The spring cave features a wide entrance opening of about 20 meters and a cave height of about 5 meters. Khoun Nam Don is a large natural water spring that serves as the origin of the "Nam Don River," an important natural waterway. In front of the cave, rock formations neatly stack together, creating a wondrous natural barrier or dam-like appearance.
On the western side, there is a cave structure running parallel to the water stream, where sacred objects (such as a Buddha image) are enshrined for worship. Currently, it is designated as a natural tourist attraction, perfect for relaxing, admiring the beauty of the emerald-clear, refreshing waters flowing through the forest, and serving as a connecting point for Khammouane Province's nature tourism routes.
