Khoun Kong Leng

Khoun Kong Leng is one of the most beautiful and charming natural tourist attractions in Khammouane Province. Located in the Hin Nam No National Protected Area, Hinboun District, Khammouane Province. It is a natural spring formed by underground water flowing from the karst mountains. Situated in Ban Nakhou, Hinboun District, Khammouane Province. From Thakhek town, take Route 13 South, heading north (towards Vientiane Capital). Drive for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach a right turn (entrance to Ban Nakhou, or a sign indicating the way to Khoun Kong Leng).

From the junction, follow the paved road for 20 kilometers to reach the tourist site. According to local legend, in the past, villagers in the area often heard the sound of a "gong" emanating from beneath the water or from caves in the vicinity every evening (especially on Buddhist holy days or important religious days). For this reason, the villagers named this place "Khoun Kong Leng."
